"Productivity and Its Impacts on Global Trade"
IATRC Symposium

This symposium will bring together economists from academia, government, and other research institutions and from the private sector. It is sponsored by the International Agricultural Trade Research Consortium (IATRC), and the European Commission's Director-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG-AGRI), as well as the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (JRC-IPTS), and the Factor Markets Project.

Program Agenda
Productivity growth is a key element in ensuring food security and agricultural income development. However, productivity growth shows different pathways around the globe. This seminar will focus on the wide number of factors that can drive improved productivity and performance in the agricultural sector such as technical developments, innovative systems, non-tariff measures or other policies which improve sector performance, with a view to assess the implications of productivity growth on trade and trade policy.
