Capacity Building Program in Agricultural Trade Policy

Hewlett – IATRC Fellows Fellows pose for photo at the 2006 IATRC Winter Meeting, St. Petersburg, Florida, December 3-5, 2006

The International Agricultural Trade Research Consortium (IATRC) has a program supported by a grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation whose purpose is to support high-quality analysis of agricultural trade issues. The program provides developing country researchers working on agricultural trade issues an opportunity to increase their analytical capacity and broaden their research networks. In this three-year program, researchers remain in their home institutions and receive a small research allowance, as well as funding to participate in IATRC’s two meetings each year. Each fellow has been matched with a mentor from the IATRC membership, who provides guidance and support for the fellow’s research program.
